- L-Carnitine is essential for normal mitochondrial function, acting as a transporter of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for beta-oxidation. Siberian ginseng is classed as an adaptogen having been shown to improve mental and physical performance and reduce harmful effects of stress. Huperzine A acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor which may explain its benefits in improving memory. Tyrosine is a precursor for neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine, and therefore is thought to improve mental alertness, mood and promote brain health. There is preliminary evidence that ginkgo leaf extract can inhibit toxicity and cell death induced by beta-amyloid peptides thereby improving memory. Grape seed extract has been shown to prevent deposition of beta-amyloid and attenuate brain inflammation which may explain its neurological benefits. Vitamin B nutrients support important physiological pathways vital to brain health.
- Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily (for improved attention span take the first capsule after breakfast and the second after lunch).
- Each capsule contains the following active ingredients: 40 mg Acetyl-L-Carnitine; 100 mg Siberian ginseng; 60 mg Choline bitartrate; 25 µg Huperzine A; 10 mg Idebenone; 100 mg Tyrosine (L-Tyrosine); 25 mg Ginkgo biloba leaf extract (standardised 24% flavonglycosides); 25 mg Grape seed extract (standardised 95% OPC’s); 25 mg Vitamin B5 (calcium-d-pantothenate); 20 mg Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate); 50 µg Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin)
- Inactive ingredients: Hypromellose (cellulose) vegetarian capsule shell (gelatine free), microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate (vegetarian – flow agent).
- Sugar-free.

Contra-Indications | Avoid if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Dont exceed indicated dose, nor combine with other medication of pre-existing illness without medical advice. Side effects include dizziness, headache, nausea, diarrhoea, increased sweating and a slowed heart rate. Brain Booster should only be used under medical supervision in individuals using cholinergic medications (such as donepezil for Alzheimers disease) or warfarin for blood thinning (ginkgo biloba can increase the blood thinning effects). Brain Booster should only be used under medical supervision in individuals suffering from epilepsy, heartbeat irregularities, chest congestion (e.g. emphysema) or high blood pressure. Not safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. |

Use Instructions | Adults and children over 16 years of age: Take 1 capsule twice daily (if used to enhance attention-span of a child during school time, it is best to take the first capsule with breakfast, and the second capsule late morning with a snack of lunch). Children 12-16 years of age: Take 1 capsule daily. Take with, or shortly after food. To maintain effectiveness, take in cycles of 5 consecutive days followed by a break of 2 consecutive days. Some individuals may experience a stimulating effect, therefore do not take after 4pm. Do not exceed 6 weeks continuous use. |
