Kratos and Zelos apparently used Aionis, thus explaining why they can use magic even though they are humans. It was revealed in the game that only a person of elven blood could wield the eternal sword. When Zelos betrayed Lloyd and the others in the 2nd visit to the tower of salvation, he searched for some aionis so that when he would rejoin the group he had a way for Lloyd to wield the Eternal sword. Angel Toxicosis is Raine's name for the trial Colette goes under in order to become an angel. The process appears to be very painful, and its symptoms seem to worsen with each seal unlocked, but the pain only endures until the day after the corresponding seal is unlocked. The negative effects of the toxicosis, however, last until the first time the party returns to the Fooji Mountains, although Colette still has extremely sharp senses and can use her Angel Skills.
