They currently play in the Championnat National, the third tier of French football, having been relegated from Ligue 2 at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season. The team has been playing at the Stade de la Meinau since 1914. The club is one of the six to win all three major French trophies: the Championship in 1979, the Coupe de France in 1951, 1966, 2001 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 1997 and 2005.
