Amazing, thoughtful and beautiful overall film with a great story. Anyone who loves adventure, mystery, action and animation will love it!

Tintin is a very good film. (Think of an animated Indiana Jones and your halfway there) The direction is superb (Steven Spielberg), the animation out of this world and the action sequences are breathtaking. There is one problem though: Tintin is not properly introduced. The audience is immediately thrust into the action, which is fast-paced and relentless. Fifteen minutes into the movie you feel like the wind has been knocked out of you. It’s too much, too fast. It's hard not to be bowled over by the charm of the characters, especially the drunken Sea Captain, Haddock. The animation really is terrific and you will definitely be on the edge of your seat during the action scenes. I highly recommend this film, though you may want to dip into a Tintin cartoon or two, just to familiarize yourself with the characters before you appreciate them on big screen/DVD.
