The Gingerbread Man An old woman makes a gingerbread man. He jumps out of the oven and runs out of the house. He runs away from the old woman, the old man, a cow, a horse, and a fox. They all want to catch the gingerbread man, but they can't catch him. Then he comes to a river. Oh, no! He can't swim. The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse Town Mouse goes to see his friend, Country Mouse. He thinks the food is strange. It's very dark and quiet. Then he sees a cow! 'Let's go to the town,' Town Mouse says to Country Mouse. Does Country Mouse like the town? What does he see there? What does he think?
