The Band (DVD)

Released in 1969, a follow up to their debut alblum "Music from Big Pink", The Band's self titled alblum (also know as the Brown alblum) bore some of the greatest and most known Band songs of all time. Written primarily by lead guitarist Robbie Robertson, the songs on this alblum range from upbeat hillbilly rock to the feel of old time country tunes. A good majority of the songs on this alblum were about the south though 4 out of the 5 members were actually from Canada. Levon Helm, the Band's drummer and mandolin player was actually the only member originally from the US (Arkansas).
