The Literacy Kit - Word Level Lesson Starters Box (Cards)

The Literacy Kit is an innovative range of resources to support the introduction of the National Literacy Strategy at Key Stage 3, or for use in any literacy lesson. Used together, the components make up a complete literacy course. Components can also be used separately with existing schemes of work, providing a thorough yet flexible package Pacy, interactive and investigative openings to literacy lessons are an integral part of the NLS approach. Each box contains teaching notes giving ideas and guidance for meeting all the word or sentence level objectives for the whole of Key Stage 3, supported by ready-made resources to put the ideas into practice. Resources include ready-made word and punctuation cards; OHTs; playing cards; and photocopy masters.
