Why am I rating this deck only 4 stars? Let's break it down... *The box which holds the cards - sturdy. Good quality. Hay House quality as expected. *Guidebook - there is no guidebook. Only a single pamphlet with a bit of info. This really already pained me when I discovered there is no guidebook. I prefer a guidebook and especially with this healing deck, it would've been nice to be guided through each interpretation of the cards. I understand that some decks prefer the buyer to tap into their own intuition and listen to what comes through and not depend solely on what the guidebook says. I respect that. However, I do really prefer my decks to have guidebooks with them. This will force me in the future to make double sure I don't purchase a deck without a guidebook. This is simply personal preference. Different strokes for different folks. *Card stock not too thick, can be on the thin side of things a bit. Easy to shuffle, but also easy to bend and damage the cards. Gloss finish. *Art work - silver gilding. So stunning! The art work on the top of each card...now this is where the other half of the star fell off...hear me out... this art work is out of this world with this sunset or sunrise...whichever your interpretation of it. However, you expect, after losing yourself in this magnificent water and sunset, you turn the card over to reveal its message...only to find artwork which could have been done so much better. The top cover art just does not fit with the messages artwork - it's two different leagues if you get what I'm saying. It's like, you become so captivated by the artwork, but when you turn the card to reveal the message, it's like...what went wrong...I feel the messages artwork should also have been so incredibly captivating as the cover art. - Personal preference again. *Reading and overall feeling of messages - To me this is truly a healing deck. The messages are spot on. It's spot on and accurate, however, as I've mentioned, I do prefer my decks to have a guidebook as well. Other than that, a decent deck.
