Alvea, Deacons, sought the services of the Rev. William Demarest, who was settled at Clover Hill, N. J. He was a man of marked peculiarities, pure in character, strong in his convictions of duty and devoted to the work of preaching the Gospel. He graduated from the Theological Seminary at New Brunswick in 1837: inu" na been laboring at Clover Hill only a few months.
