The first entries on the back of this membrane are made in continuation of the returns from the escheats within the Bailiwicks of Caux and BonneviHe-sur-Touques, which were so far kept distinct from the ferm of those jurisdictions, that in the instance of that of Caux, it was another individual who rendered the accompt of the Bailiwick in this year. Among the debtors in this last-named district, Mabilia comtesse of Evreux renders accompt of 2000 li. for having the custody of the land of her son, of which sum 1500 li. had been paid into the Treasury, and lOOli. were owing; she was the widow of Amaury comte of Evreux, and one of the daughters and coheirs of William, Earl of the county of Gloucester.
