In many ways, this is a better film than the first Spiderman one, in that there is little need to establish the main characters! Even if you're not a Spiderman addict (and I willingly admit that I am one!) this picture's predecessor will already have established who's who amongst the leading characters. This feature picks up the story two years on from the end of the previous screenplay, and Spiderman now faces a new adversary in the form of Dr Octopus – an evil metamorphosis of Peter Parker's role model, Dr Otto Octavious. Octopus has four artificial intelligent mechanical tentacles, and they possess unbelievable strength. New York is the focus of his destructive and illogical revenge, following the death of his wife, which was the result of an experiment gone wrong. And Spiderman proves that not only Superman can stop a speeding train single-handed!
It's all great action stuff, and suitable fare for the whole family!
