The subject of equity in public employment is currently one of the most important aspects of public personnel management. Equity policies are meant to bring minorities and women into public employment often to correct past discrimination. How justly one could provide employment opportunities to minorities without adversely affecting and thus generating the animosity among the majorities, and how to ensure merit and administrative efficiency are very serious questions.
