That this Grand Chapter having adopted a Standard Ritual, and at considerable expense caused the same to be promulgated throughout its jurisdiction, cannot encourage the exemplification of other systems among its Chapters, lest confusion arise among the workmen; but there is nothing to prevent Companions seeking information from visiting other jurisdictions, and witnessing the work there practiced. 9. That a Companion clear of the books of his Chapter, and against whom no charges are pending, is entitled, on request, to a dimit. to. That suspension or expulsion by a Lodge for a Masonic offense deprives a Companion of his rights in the Chapter, without a trial de now in the Chapter. The Report of the Committee on Jurisprudence on the address was adopted as follows: --First. The decisions of the Grand High Priest, as reported by him in his annual address, are undoubtedly correct expositions of Masonic law, but we suggest some explanations that may tend to render the meaning ot some of them clearer, and thus prevent misconstruction hereafter.
