Overstreet, one of its clerks, announced to the Senate the intelligence of the death of Hon. Frank G. Clarke, late a Representative from the State of New Hampshire, and transmitted resolutions of the House thereon. The message also announced that the Speaker of the House had appointed Mr. Sulloway, Mr. Hill, Mr. Knox, Mr. Capron, Mr. Howell, Mr. Lane, Mr. Allen of Maine, Mr. L, andis, Mr. Littlefield, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Fitzgerald of Massachusetts, Mr. Griggs, Mr. Gaines, Mr. Robinson of Indiana, Mr. Naphen, and Mr. King members of the committee on the part of the House to attend the funeral of the late Hon. Frank G. Clarke. Mr. Gallinger. Mr. President, I ask that the resolutions just received from the House be laid before the Senate. The President pro tempore laid before the Senate the following resolutions from the House of Representatives; which were read: In The House Of Representat1ves, January /0, /go/. Resolved, That the House has heard with deep regret and profound sorrow of the death of the Hon. Frank G. Clarke, late a Representative from the State of New Hampshire. Resolved, That a committee of sixteen members of the House, with such members of the Senate as may be joined, be appointed to attend the funeral at Peterboro, N. H., and that the necessary expenses attending the execution of this order be paid out of the contingent fund of the House. Resolved, That the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House be authorized and 41 directed to take such steps as may be necessary for properly carrying out the provisions of this resolution. Resolved, That the Clerk communicate these resolutions to the Senate, and transmit a copy thereof to the family of the deceased. ..
