The undergrowth is everywhere light, consisting of huckleberry, rhododendron, vine maple, laurel, ohinquapin, alder, yew, arrowwood, and salal, with solne young oonife1's_ The timber, consisting almost entirely of red tir, is very heavy, and at least 50 per cent of it is of good quality. Other species are small and of little value. Nearly all of this township can be _logged to the North Fork of the Willamette River, which is n good logging stream during the winter sensori.
