We asked them what the facts were and they stated them. Mr. Jones stated what the facts were. Q. Well, one of the statements he made was that he had never had any agreement or understanding of any kind with anybody that he would go into a corporation, or that he would take this claim for anybody's benefit but his own, did he not?--A. He probably did. Q. Now, going back to Mr. White's affidavit, you wrote that out?ourself in the presence of Mr. White and of Mr. Glavis, in Mr. White's store, in the town of Wallace, Idaho, did you not?--A. Yes, sir. Q. After it was written and before it was signed all three of you went up to Mr. Gray's office?--A. Yes, sir. Q. And there Mr. White signed it?--A. Yes, sir. Q. And there was no change made in it after you went to Mr. Gray's office whatever?--A. No, sir. Q. So that you and Mr. Glavis were acquainted with Mr. Gray, were you not?--A. I think I was introduced to Mr. Gray at the time by Mr. White, and I think Mr. Glavis was. I don't know whether Mr. Glavis had ever met him or not. Q. Had you ever met him before?--A. I don't think so. I remembered his name. He was at school here, but I don't know as I ever met him. Q.
