From these tables it appears that the whole number of claims and Buey accounts settled, from March 4, 1817, to June 30, 18(il, was.408, and that from June 30, 1861, to 30, 1874, the number of cli8ettlementswa8 917,007, iuvolvingr$l,780,440,922.00. If to this namiris added the claims examined and rejected, 216,611, it appears that 133,618 claims and money accounts have been settled and disposed of the last thirteen years. The tables also show that, in the same time, 1,137,757 property accounts ive been adjusted, 3,450,489 letters have been written, and that 834,834 rtificates from the rolls have been made to the Paymaster-General and her officers.
