The Wittenbergians deal largely In elocutionary exercises, we imagine, as their paper is rank with the technicalities of the trade, and "delivery," and "oratory," and "declamation," gleam from every page. We surmise, however, that like the Donna Innrat, their " favorite science" Is "the mathematical," though we do not feel warranted in extending tbe likeness by asserting tliut their nit is "Attic all," being restrained by the complexion of their local columns, whereof this Is a sample: --Elocution, --Once a week.-Practice what you learn.--Get your valentine ready.--Do not disappoint her expectations.--"There is nothing like fun, Is there?"--Now let some one organize a foot-ball club.--The seniors are eagerly pressing on to victory.--The"beautiful mud" is the next thing In order.--The locals of the Williams Athenaum will compare favorably with those of the Wtttenberyer for that mystic senselessness which we have adverted to in our comments upon the latter journal. Indeed there Is a general sort of nothingness about the columns of toe Alherueum which looks as (hough Its editors were hard pressed formatter. The words and lines are spread out Into a most inexcusable " thinness" that gives Its pages a diluted look by no means Pleasant to behold. The last number.however, Is readable--even toa stranger, whlle we suppose that to the denizens of Williams the locals themselve...
