Grand Prelate. John Goldsmith, Jr., E. Grand Senior Warden. C G. CuRTI88, E. Grand Junior Warden. Wm. Barclay, E. Grand Treasurer. O. Bourke, E. Grand Recorder. Irving M. Smith, E. Grand Standard Bearer. S. C. Randall, E. Grand Sword Bearer. E. M. Stevens, E. Grand Warder. W. V. Griffith, E. Grand Captain of Guards. A large number of distinguished Sir Knights from Foreign and State Jurisdictions were in attendance, and contributed their valuable counsel for the welfare of Masonry. The Grand Recorder having reported that a constitutional number of delegates from subordinate Commanderies were in attendance, the Right Eminent proceeded to open the Grand Commandery of Michigan in Ample And KNIGHTLY Form. The E. Grand Prelate invoking, in solemn prayer, the Divine guidance and protection during the deliberations of the Grand Body over the assembled Sir Knights, directing their thoughts and efforts to the grand and fundamental object and aim of the Order--the amelioration of the human race, diffusing light and dispelling darkness, the better fitting us for that spiritual temple, that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens--as good and faithful soldiers of the Cross pressing forward to th...
