Excerpt: ...representing travelling expenses, disbursements, etc. Mr. Savaria, from the Select Committee on the Fill respecting the early closing of shops, presented to the House, the First Report of the said Committee, which was read, as followeth: Your Committee, after having appointed Mr. Savaria as their Chairman, have examined the Bill respecting the early closing of shops and made certain amendments, which they submit to the consideration of Your Honourable House. The Honourable Mr. Taillou, from the Select Standing Committee on Legislation and Expiring Laws, presented to the House, the Fourth Report of the said Committee, which was read, as followeth: Your Committee have examined the Bill to amend article 2282 of the Revised Statutes, respecting the management of the pension fund for officers of primary instruction. And also the Bill to amend article 2024 of the Revised Statutes of the Province of Quebec. Your Committee do not deem it advisable to recommend the passing of these Bills this session, in order that the same may be submitted to the Council of Public Instruction for their opinion and report. Your Committee have also examined the Bill to amend the Code of Civil Procedure respecting abandonment of property, and do not deem it advisable to recommend the passing of this Bill this session; but they are of opinion that it should be submitted to the Revisors of the Code of Civil Procedure. The Order of the Day being read, for the third reading of the Bill respecting the incorporation of Benefit Associations, National Societies, Trades-Unions and Labour Societies.
