We had a set before these, and it devoured batteries... This one comes rechargeable, and when plugged in, it recharges by itself! The volume is perfect for during the day or sleeping at night, not to wake your partner when put on softest. The range it extends is also excellent, and I can hear the baby with this to the Horse stables, which is a good few meters awaya must when you have a baby that sleeps in his room.
