1892. The knowledge that Masons are all journeying toward the East for the purpose of mutual instruction, induced Kingsbury to summarize and carefully compile a short epitome of the writings of the most celebrated historians of Masonry, from the earliest to the present date, and he trusts to receive from the more experienced and abler Masons than himself an indulgent criticism. He endeavored to be as concise as possible in the compilation, so that it may prove interesting and instructive to the Members of the Craft generally, and also to be stimulating to others in a desire for research after Masonic knowledge.
