King's Master Masons (Hardcover)

This essay is an attempt to bring together such particulars as are available in the public records of England and some other sources of information with reference to the Master Masons of the Kings of England. It is affirmed of Masonry that in every age monarchs themselves have been promoters of the art and have not thought it derogatory to their dignity to exchange the scepter for the trowel, and they have patronized the mysteries and joined the assemblies of Masonry.
