We Will Worship - Yahweh (CD)

We Will Worship is a band that has successfully crafted a style and sound for a new generation of South African gospel lover. The band balances the traditional and contemporary gospel dynamic with ease and effect. This is evidenced by the fact that established and acclaimed South African artists: Deborah Fraser, Kabelo Mabalane, and Loyiso Bala have featured on their projects and recorded cover versions of their songs. Through their arsenal of original songs and unique interpretation of gospel, comes a diverse sound which captures the colour and energy of the young and urban people of South Africa. It is a sound that is deeply grounded in traditional South African gospel, yet fused with a distinct zeal and creative flair. We Will Worship provides an authentic South African experience, and carries the cross-over appeal that can penetrate markets and nations in Africa and beyond. We re about calling people to a life of worship - authentic, enduring and persevering worship of Jesus that s day in and day out. We re about encouraging God s people as they worship Him in homes, offices, lecture halls, anywhere and everywhere. Langa Mbonambi (Founder & Band Leader) The YHWH album has been masterfully led by award winning producers Crighton Goodwill and Mpho Pholo (37MPH). It also features contributions by seasoned musicians such as Mahalia Jackson (vocals), Raymond Green (acoustic and electric guitar), Yusuf Justin Holcroft, Adam Howard & Berwyn Roberts (brass), Llewellyn George (organ) & Carel Henn (cello). We Will Worship s YHWH raises the bar from the debut album The Movemeant Begins Though the projects are distinctly different, with the first being a live recording and the second being a studio album, the maturation in style and sound is immediately evident. The exploration of a new depth in lyrical content and message is a consistent feature in the album. The album offers the listener an enriching and ever-fresh praise and worship experience. We Will Worship s debut album The Movemeant Begins received critical acclaim and collected industry awards. To the surprise of many pundits, they eclipsed household names during this breakthrough year. Such was the impact that the band made on the South African music scene that they were invited to perform live at the 2012 SAMA s.
