One Family's Story: A Time of Service (Electronic book text)

Almost locked away in the mists of time, encroaching age and history are the stories of my family. They are a rather typical American family - nothing too exceptional - nothing out of the center of the American experience. But the Winters, Cryers, and Cables are a family whose story is worth remembering, worth telling, worth learning because the story of my family is the story of how America was formed in the past one hundred or so years by events, by technology and by human frailty.
