As with the previous issue, the articles and reviews relating to it focus on the history of communisum in Britain and the international dimensions of the movement. There is an exploration of the evolution of communism during the 1920s and the 1930s as well as an examination of the fall of the German Democratic Republic. Also included in this issue are reviews of new books on the Bolsheviks and British Jews, an obituary of George Rude and a profile of Edward Gibbon by Willie Thompson.
