This book is the absolute supplement to the Exhibition in the Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum in Wale Street organised in cooperation with the South African Foundation for Islamic Art (Safia). The exhibition is called 'Islamic Art - An African Interpreation'. The book is made with great love and shows the deep humanity and spirituality in Islamic Art. The designs are like Islamic Mandalas. The great sense of space and the superb calligraphy stimulates an urge to learn Arabic and get a deeper understanding of this Artistic jewelry of the Cape Malay tradition. Soni's Art inspired the young artists whose works are displayed at the exhbition. This books should be in every school library and in all university and corperate libraries in all communities.
