The 15:17 to Paris is an amazing true story of friendship and bravery, of near terrorist attack averted by three young men who found the heroic unity and strength inside themselves at the moment when they, and 500 other innocent travellers, needed it most. An ISIS terrorist planned to kill more than 500 people. He would have succeeded except for three American friends who refused to give in to fear. On August 21, 2015, Ayoub El-Khazzani boarded train #9364 in Brussels, bound for Paris. There could be no doubt about his mission: he had an AK-47, a pistol, a box cutter, and enough ammunition to obliterate every passenger on board. Slipping into the bathroom in secret, he armed his weapons. Another major ISIS attack was about to begin. Khazzani wasn't expecting Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone. Stone was a martial arts enthusiast and airman first class in the US Air Force, Skarlatos was a member of the Oregon National Guard, and all three were fearless. But their decision, to charge the gunman, then overpower him even as he turned first his gun, then his knife, on Stone, depended on a lifetime of loyalty, support, and faith. Their friendship was forged as they came of age together in California: going to church, playing paintball, teaching each other to swear, and sticking together when they got in trouble at school. Years later, that friendship would give all of them the courage to stand in the path of one of the world's deadliest terrorist organizations. The 15:17 to Paris is an amazing true story of friendship and bravery, of near tragedy averted by three young men who found the heroic unity and strength inside themselves at the moment when they, and 500 other innocent travellers, needed it most.

However, with Smurfette the key to Gargamel's plans to transform his latest minions, the Naughties (voiced by Christina Ricci and J.B. In the part live action, part CGI-animated 'Marmaduke' (2010) the Winslow family move from Kansas to Orange County, California together with their goofy, accident-prone Great Dane, Marmaduke (voiced by Owen Wilson), who soon experiences all kinds of trouble fitting in with his new canine neighbours.

In 'The Hunger Games' (2012) Jennifer Lawrence stars as 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a citizen of the totalitarian post-apocalyptic country of Panem, formerly the United States. Every year, the all-powerful ruling agency known as the Capitol selects one boy and one girl from each of Panem's 12 impoverished rival districts to fight to the death on live national television in a contest known as 'The Hunger Games', in which the winner is given food to feed their entire district for a year. When her younger sister Primrose (Willow Shields) is selected as a contestant, Katniss steps up to take her place. Under the tutelage of inebriated former champion Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Katniss goes into training for the fight of her life.
In 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' (2013), fresh from her triumph in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss, along with fellow winner Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), returns home to District 12 for some much-needed rest. But soon after, while on a 'Victory Tour' of the other districts, she becomes aware of growing dissent to the Capitol's rule, and realises that rebellion is in the air. As Panem prepares itself for the third 'Quarter Quell' (75th Hunger Games), autocratic ruler President Coriolanus Snow (Donald Sutherland), still smarting from the Capitol's humiliation in the last games, stacks the deck to ensure that the upcoming tournament will wipe out any resistance from the districts.
In 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' (2014), in the aftermath of the 75th Hunger Games, Katniss finds herself in the underground District 13, struggling to adjust to her new life and role as the 'Mockingjay' in the rebellion against the Capitol and President Snow. Meanwhile, her friend and fellow Games victor Peeta is in the hands of the Capitol, where he is tortured and brainwashed. Katniss soon realises that to save the ones she loves she will have to join the revolt, led by President Coin (Julianne Moore), and become a symbol of hope for the rebels. With help from her friends and allies, including Haymitch Abernathy, Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth), Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) and Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Katniss sets out to bring down the Capitol and President Snow once and for all.

Over his unrivaled four-decade career in radio, Howard Stern has interviewed thousands of personalities—discussing sex, relationships, money, fame, spirituality, and success with the boldest of bold-faced names. But which interviews are his favorites? It’s one of the questions he gets asked most frequently. Howard Stern Comes Again delivers his answer.
This book is a feast of conversation and more, as between the lines Stern offers his definitive autobiography—a magnum opus of confession and personal exploration. Tracy Morgan opens up about his near-fatal car crash. Lady Gaga divulges her history with cocaine. Madonna reminisces on her relationship with Tupac Shakur. Bill Murray waxes philosophical on the purpose of life. Jerry Seinfeld offers a master class on comedy. Harvey Weinstein denies the existence of the so-called casting couch. An impressive array of creative visionaries weigh in on what Stern calls “the climb”—the stories of how they struggled and eventually prevailed. As he writes in the introduction, “If you’re having trouble finding motivation in life and you’re looking for that extra kick in the ass, you will find it in these pages.”
Interspersed throughout are rare selections from the Howard Stern Show archives with Donald Trump that depict his own climb: transforming from Manhattan tabloid fixture to reality TV star to president of the United States. Stern also tells of his Moby Dick-like quest to land an interview with Hillary Clinton in the run-up to the 2016 election—one of many newly written revelations from the author. He speaks with extraordinary candor about a variety of subjects, including his overwhelming insecurity early in his career, his revolutionary move from terrestrial radio to SiriusXM, and his belief in the power of psychotherapy.
As Stern insightfully notes in the introduction: “The interviews collected here represent my best work and show my personal evolution. But they don’t just show my evolution. Gathered together like this, they show the evolution of popular culture over the past quarter century.”
Gary Ross directs this sci-fi action film based on the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins. Jennifer Lawrence stars as 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a citizen of the totalitarian post-apocalyptic country of Panem, formerly the United States. Every year, the all-powerful ruling agency known as the Capitol selects one boy and one girl from each of Panem's 12 impoverished rival districts to fight to the death on live national television in a contest known as 'The Hunger Games', in which the winner is given food to feed their entire district for a year. The first major book on ISIS to be published since the group exploded on the international stage in summer 2014. Drawing on their unusual access to intelligence sources and material, law enforcement, and groundbreaking research into open source intelligence, Stern and Berger outline the origins of ISIS as the formidable terrorist group it has quickly become. `State of Terror' delves into the `ghoulish pornography' of pro-jihadi videos, the seductive appeal of `jihadi chic' and the startling effectiveness of the Islamic State's use of social media as a means of luring and recruiting citizens from countries such as the United States, Great Britain, and France-using recent examples such as Douglas McCain, the American citizen from Minnesota who joined ISIS and died in combat fighting on the side of the Islamic State. Although the picture Stern and Berger paint is bleak, `State of Terror' also offers well-informed thoughts on potential government responses to ISIS - most importantly, emphasizing that we must alter our present conceptions of terrorism and react to the rapidly changing jihadi landscape, both online and off, as quickly as the terrorists do. `State of Terror: Jihad in the 21st Century' is not only a compelling account of the evolution of a terrorist organization, but also a necessary book that attempts to answer the question of what our next move - as a country, as a government, as the world - should be.
Santa Claus sets off to New York to help out a little elf (Dudley Moore). Having been made redundant, the little elf decides to get his own back. He starts to sell all the toy secrets to an evil toy manufacturer.
A collection of three festive favourites. In 'Mr Popper's Penguins' (2011), Tom Popper (Jim Carrey) is a business executive who has become disillusioned with the daily grind. But when he unexpectedly inherits six penguins, his life is transformed into a series of madcap adventures as he finally gets the excuse to indulge his childhood hankering for polar exploration. Carla Gugino, Madeline Carroll and Angela Lansbury co-star. In Charles Dickens' classic 'A Christmas Carol' (1984), Ebenezer Scrooge (George C. Scott) is a misanthrope unimpressed by the fuss everyone makes during the festive season. That is, until his sleep is disturbed one Christmas Eve by the ghosts of Christmas past (Angela Pleasence), present (Edward Woodward) and future (Michael Carter), each of which takes him on a journey which helps him to open his heart to his fellow man and to thereby learn the joy of Christmas. Finally, 'Miracle on 34th Street' (1994), is a remake of the 1947 'feel good' classic, telling the heart-warming story of a young girl's desire for a fully-functional family, complete with a father and a baby brother. The girl, Susan, confides in Kris Kringle (Sir Richard Attenborough), the kindly old man who is acting as the grotto Santa in the department store managed by her mother. Kris Kringle, however, believes he is the genuine Santa Claus and this devotion to the cause makes him very popular indeed, leading to record profits for the store. This annoys rival retailers so much that they try to discredit the so-called Santa, leading eventually to a court case in which Kringle and his lawyer try to prove that he is the real thing.
Award-winning novelist Steve Stern s exhilarating epic recounts the
story of how a nineteenth-century rabbi from a small Polish town
ends up in a basement freezer in a suburban Memphis home at the end
of the twentieth century. What happens when an impressionable
teenage boy inadvertently thaws out the ancient man and brings him
back to life is nothing short of miraculous.
Double bill of US comedies. 'The Internship' (2013) stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two former salesmen who, never having managed to come to grips with the digital age, are left high and dry when their employer suddenly decides to call it a day. Staking everything on one last throw of the dice, the pair, defying all the odds, somehow manage to get themselves accepted onto a coveted internship at tech giants Google. But will they be able to keep up the facade once they take up their positions? In 'The Watch' (2012) Ben Stiller, Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade play a group of friends who form a neighbourhood watch group. While Evan Trautwig (Stiller), a newcomer to the suburban neighbourhood, may have a legitimate reason for forming a crime watch group following the recent murder of a friend, it is clear that for most of the men ulterior motives are at work. Indeed, Bob Finnerty (Vaughn) seems to spend a lot more time examining the dating habits of his daughter, Chelsea (Erin Moriarty), than he does looking for threats. However, when the men stumble across what appears to be an alien plan to destroy humankind, they understand where their responsibilities lie and set out to counter the threat.
A box set containing the original and the 3 sequels to the film that launched Macaulay Culkin's career. In 'Home Alone' (1990) ten-year-old Kevin (Culkin) is banished to his room while his family prepare for a Christmas trip to Europe. He wakes up to find they have inadvertently left without him. Kevin must cope not only with life on his own but also with the threat of two persistent, albeit incompetent, burglars. Meanwhile, his mother vainly tries to find a way to get back home. 'Home Alone 2' (1992) sees Kevin McCallister (Culkin) get separated from his family at Christmas time again. This time, they're in Florida and he's in New York, and the two bumbling gangsters from the first film (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) are out of jail and on Kevin's trail. Whilst in 'Home Alone 3' (1997) a band of hi-tech thieves have stolen a top-secret computer chip, and placed it inside a toy car. However, through a series of mishaps the car finds its way to Alex Pruitt (Alex D. Linz), who is alone at home with the chicken pox. The thieves track Alex down, but their attempts to retrieve the chip are all thwarted by the young whiz-kid. Finally, 'Home Alone 4' (2002) is a made-for-TV film. Kevin McAllister returns (played by Macaulay Culkin look-alike Mike Weinberg) and once again finds himself left alone in an empty house; this time it is a hi-tech safe-house, owned by the girlfriend of his recently divorced father. The house is being used by a royal heir and Kevin (in his usual style) manages to see off potential kidnappers whilst also making sure his parents get back together.
